Canon is pleased to announce the highly-anticipated EOS-1D X Mark III digital SLR camera, providing advanced users and professionals with the most powerful levels in autofocus, speed, precision, performance and more in a Canon camera to date.
It’s been totally revamped on the inside, with a new imaging system including a new 20.1 million pixel CMOS sensor and a powerful new DIGIC X processor for outstanding speed, great sensitivity and impressive performance. Shooting through the viewfinder there’s a completely new 191-point AF system, with accurate tracking technologies to further assist like Face Detection, Eye Detection and our new Head Detection. You can also shoot up to 16 fps using the viewfinder, or up to 20 fps in Live View. Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides fast and accurate focus in Live View.
The new EOS-1D X Mark III uses the new CFexpress memory card, and has dual card slots to boost shooting and storage capacity, with faster read/write speeds as well as burst rates allowing you to shoot over 1,000 RAW images.
For the first time ever in an EOS DSLR you can internally record 5.5K RAW video up to 60p. It also allows recording of 4K uncropped video up to 60p, with the option of shooting 10-bit 4:2:2 with Canon Log.
For professionals the new EOS-1D X Mark III offers extensive networking capabilities, including built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and is compatible with the optional new WFT-E9 Wireless File Transmitter, providing faster transfer speeds, enhanced network security, and greater flexibility.
